ABOUT HAGB
Hands Across Grand Bahama is an Evangelistic Ministry with a passion for souls. Birthed from a vision for the need to minister to the youth of The Bahamas, particularly young men, HAGB was formed to restore a pillar of the community.
In 2004, Evangelist Elmore was challenged to host an early morning prayer chain that would span miles across the island of Grand Bahama, Bahamas.

Evangelist Elmore SMith
Evangelist Elmore Joseph Smith is no stranger to prayer. It is his passion for crying out to God in prayer that serves as the catalyst for the burden to win souls for “The Kingdom”. Having been charged to host a prayer chain, he was moved to establish Hands across Grand Bahama in 2005, and is the Cofounder of Outreach Ministries, an evangelistic ministry aimed to engaging young men and keeping them from off of the "streets".
The Lords has led Evangelist Smith to host an annual Prayer Walk, that sees dozens of person in prayer at 5:30 in the morning praying for the government, the church and the redemption of this generation. He is also the host of “Can Men worship” a one night Men's Conference where men gather for an encounter of pure worship and dynamic kingdom teaching. Recently, HAGB hosted a Thanksgiving Prayer Praise and Worship in November 2019 that saw hundreds of persons gather in the open, under the stars to unite in prayer for the nation of The Bahamas.
As young man, Smith engaged in drug use, as well as drug trafficking that led to an incarceration of two years. He notes that it was his broken focus that caused the lost several opportunities to better himself, college scholarships and a chance to play professional Football. While imprisoned it was there that he had an encounter with God, and saw the hands of the Lord extended to him. This led Smith to surrender his life to Christ. This was short-lived and as soon as he was released, Smith went back to his old life.
It was not until his marriage to the late Bernadette Smith, he realized that there was nothing holding him back from serving The Lord. On the night of February 14 as he recalls, "I was crying out to God for deliverance and healing that He heard my cries. I have been serving God from that moment never looking back." I have now purpose in my heart to build Gods kingdom here on earth by winning souls.
Evangelist Elmore was married to the Beautiful Bernadette Smith for 15yrs before the Lord called her home, to breast cancer. He is now married to the beautiful Valeska Brown-Smith, who serves alongside him as HAGB Executive Administrator.
